AgrImpact (en)
AgrImpact is a collaborative project aimed at developing a new cooperation and incentive model, as well as a smart farming ecosystem, in the Kanta-Häme region. Its goal is to support rural entrepreneurs in the transition towards more sustainable and impactful practices.
The project’s actions will strengthen knowledge and capabilities for sustainable production, renewal, and internationalisation. In addition, it will map the current state of rural enterprises and farms from the perspective of smart farming. This knowledge will be used to identify new opportunities and support business development. At the same time, the current state of the smart farming network will be assessed, with the aim of building it into an ecosystem through facilitation and co-creation.
The changes affecting agriculture and the need to develop new innovations have been recognised. Through its actions, the project seeks new, innovative, and sustainable solutions. It will also co-creatively build mechanisms through which public and private actors can support farmers in their transition to smart farming – not for the sake of technology itself, but for the impact it enables. The development of smart farming is transforming traditional farming into a data-driven ecosystem, where the ability to analyse and act quickly determines competitive advantage.
Project implementation time

The project is implemented by Linnan Kehitys Oy in close cooperation with MTK Häme.
Project goals
- Development and pilot of the AgrImpact concept
- In cooperation with rural stakeholders, we design and model a new operational approach that supports sustainable and smart farming, as well as the transition towards more impactful practices.
- Mapping the current situation and increasing competence
- We collect data on the current state of farms and rural enterprises and organise targeted trainings on smart farming themes.
- Building a cooperation network and communication
- We establish a permanent network that enables continued joint development even after the project ends. As a result, the project will produce a collaboratively developed and openly published operating model with a roadmap for further development, as well as a jointly agreed approach for piloting the model and a description of the current state of farms.
